這種話確實不像是謊言，看似正確，但你知道毫無意義！其實我們日常生活中很多這樣的話。
比如：
如果你生病了，叫你「多喝開水」，這是關心你還是不關心你呢？
點菜時候說「隨便」的人，是真的「隨便」嗎？
還有什么「做真正自己」「跟隨自己內心的聲音」「用自己的真心去生活」，這是什么意思呢？
于丹為什么越來越被千夫所指，就是因為很多人發現她其實在「扯淡」，比如：《論語》的真諦，就是告訴大家，怎么才能過上我們心靈所需要的那種快樂的生活。這本書開篇就是試圖對「扯淡（Bullshit）」進行明確的定義，花費了很大篇幅。作者認為：「扯淡」真正的危害在于「反真相」，比「謊言」害處更大。
