河海大學(河海,Hohai University),創建于1915年,坐落于江蘇省南京市,是教育部直屬,教育部、水利部、國家海洋局與江蘇省人民政府共建全國重點大學,國家“世界一流學科建設高校”,國家“211工程”重點建設、“985工程優勢學科創新平臺”建設以及設立研究生院的高校。該校入選國家“111計劃”“卓越工程師教育培養計劃”“國家級大學生創新創業訓練計劃”“國家建設高水平大學公派研究生項目”“國家級新工科研究與實踐項目”、中國政府獎學金來華留學生接收院校、國家大學生文化素質教育基地、全國高校實踐育人創新創業基地。[1]
河海大學其學脈可追溯到1915年創建的“河海工程專門學校”。1927年并入國立第四中山大學,后更名為國立中央大學、南京大學。1952年南京大學水利系、交通大學水利系、同濟大學土木系水利組、浙江大學土木系水利組以及華東水利專科學校合并成立“華東水利學院”。1981年學校成為首批博士、碩士學位授予單位。1985年,華東水利學院更名為河海大學,恢復了“河海”傳統校名。

The history of Hohai University can be traced back to the establishment of &34;Hohai Engineering School&34; in 1915. 1927 It was merged into the Fourth National Sun Yat-sen University and later renamed National Central University and Nanjing University. 1952 The Department of Water Conservancy of Nanjing University, the Department of Water Conservancy of Jiao Tong University, the Department of Water Conservancy of Civil Engineering of Tongji University, the Department of Water Conservancy of Civil Engineering of Zhejiang University, and the East China College of Water Conservancy were merged to form East China College of Water Conservancy. In 1981, the university became one of the first batch of institutions granting doctoral and master&39;s degrees. In 1985, East China Institute of Water Conservancy was renamed Hohai University, restoring the traditional name of &34;Hohai&34;.
