金沙酒的工藝和茅臺類似。也是“12987”釀造工藝，即端午制曲、重陽下沙、1年生產周期、2次投料、9次蒸煮、8次發酵、7次取酒。具有“微黃透明、醬香典雅、醇柔怡人、酒體豐滿、回味綿長、空杯留香舒適”的醇柔醬香獨特風味。
